Needle treatment tested to smooth facial scars from injuries and surgery
NCT ID NCT07397520
Summary
This study is testing whether injections of a medication called 5-fluorouracil can reduce the size and improve the appearance of raised facial scars around the eyes. The injections are given weekly for one month to adults who have scars from trauma or cosmetic surgery. Researchers will measure changes in scar size, color, and texture using photographs and a rating scale.
