Keyhole vs open wrist surgery: which heals broken bones better?

NCT ID NCT07320404

Summary

This study compared two surgical techniques to heal a broken scaphoid bone in the wrist that failed to mend on its own. Researchers tested a newer, less invasive 'keyhole' (arthroscopic) method against the traditional open surgery to see which leads to better bone healing, faster recovery, and improved wrist function. The goal was to find the best treatment option for patients with this stubborn wrist injury.
