New cream for scalp psoriasis: patients report better satisfaction and quality of life
NCT ID NCT05811234
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study followed 291 adults with mild-to-moderate scalp psoriasis who were prescribed a cream containing calcipotriene and betamethasone (Wynzora®). Researchers measured how satisfied patients were with the treatment, its effect on quality of life, and how well it worked in real-world settings over 12 weeks. The goal was to see if the cream improves daily life and symptom control beyond what is seen in controlled clinical trials.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Calcipotriene/Betamethasone dipropionate cream (Wynzora®)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that the cream improves treatment satisfaction and quality of life for people with scalp psoriasis in everyday use.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study, not a controlled trial, so results may be less reliable. It also only looks at short-term outcomes (12 weeks) and may not apply to all patients.
