Chilling cap aims to save hair and ease distress for breast cancer patients

NCT ID NCT07422376

Summary

This study is testing if wearing a special cooling cap during chemotherapy helps breast cancer patients keep more of their hair and feel less distressed about hair loss. It will involve 100 patients, with half using the cooling cap and half not using any hair-saving treatment. Researchers will also check if certain genetic markers are linked to how much hair patients lose or regrow.
