Nerve block tested to ease agony of brain bleed headaches
NCT ID NCT07307508
Summary
This study is testing if a scalp nerve block can help reduce severe headaches in critically ill patients who have had a brain aneurysm bleed. Researchers will compare pain levels and opioid painkiller use between patients who receive the nerve block plus standard care and those who receive standard care alone. The goal is to find a better way to manage this debilitating pain with fewer side effects from strong medications.
