First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study aims to find gene changes that cause spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) – sudden tears in heart blood vessels. Researchers will analyze DNA from 2000 people who have had SCAD, along with some family members. The goal is to identify inherited or new mutations that may explain why these tears happen.
