New radiation approach targets lung cancer leftovers without more surgery

NCT ID NCT05113017

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a high-dose, precise radiation treatment called SBRT can safely control small lung cancer nodules that remain after surgery. About 40 adults aged 18-75 with multiple lung nodules, at least one confirmed as cancer, will receive SBRT to the leftover spots. The goal is to see if this approach can stop the cancer from growing and avoid the need for additional surgeries.
