New combo aims to control metastatic cancer in patients with limited spread
NCT ID NCT07481799
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This Phase 3 trial tests whether combining stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) with the drug becotatug vedotin (MRG003) can improve outcomes for patients with EGFR-positive metastatic tumors that have spread to only a few spots (oligometastases). The study will enroll 200 adults aged 18-75. The goal is to see if this approach can delay cancer progression and extend survival.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
becotatug vedotin (MRG003) combined with stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT)
What this could lead to
If successful, this combination could offer better control of metastatic cancer and extend survival for patients with limited spread.
What could go wrong
This is still an early Phase 3 trial with 200 participants. The drug may cause side effects, and not all patients may benefit. Results may not apply to all cancer types.
