New lung biopsy technique put to the test in sarcoidosis diagnosis trial
NCT ID NCT07246876
Summary
This study aims to find the best way to diagnose sarcoidosis, a condition that causes inflammation in the lungs and other organs. Researchers will compare a newer biopsy technique (EBUS-TBMC) against a combination of standard biopsy methods to see which one is more accurate at detecting the disease. The trial will involve 469 adults suspected of having early-stage sarcoidosis, and results will help doctors choose the most effective diagnostic approach.
