First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study compares a newer biopsy method (cryobiopsy) with standard approaches for diagnosing stage I/II pulmonary sarcoidosis. About 469 adults with suspected sarcoidosis will be randomly assigned to one of the two methods. The goal is to see which technique detects granulomas (a key sign of sarcoidosis) more reliably and safely.
