Sand workouts may fix flat feet in kids, study finds
NCT ID NCT06955039
First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested if exercising on sand improves foot posture and balance in children aged 6-11 with pronated feet (flat feet). Twenty children were split into two groups: one did towel curls on sand, the other did towel curls only. After 8 weeks, researchers measured foot arch, foot position, and balance to see if sand training offered extra benefits. The goal is to find simple, fun ways to help kids' feet develop properly.
