Could simple salt water boost antibiotic power against serious eye infections?

NCT ID NCT07452588

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a salt water (5% sodium chloride) solution to standard antibiotic eye drops helps people with bacterial corneal infections heal faster. Researchers will compare two groups: one using antibiotics plus the salt water drops, and another using antibiotics alone. They want to see if the salt water helps clear the infection quicker, speeds up healing of the eye's surface, and leads to better vision.
