Can whole salmon oil outperform standard supplements for heart health?
NCT ID NCT06802068
Summary
This study compared two types of omega-3 supplements to see how they affect markers of heart health and inflammation. Researchers gave 96 healthy adults either natural, unprocessed salmon oil or a standard, processed omega-3 supplement for 14 weeks. They measured changes in omega-3 levels, cholesterol, inflammation markers, diabetes risk factors, and sleep quality to see if one supplement worked better.
