First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at whether changes in saliva can help detect concussions in professional rugby players. Researchers will measure head impacts during matches and compare them to saliva samples taken before and after the game. The goal is to find a simple, non-invasive way to identify concussions that might otherwise go unnoticed. The study involves 66 male players aged 19-20 from the French under-20 rugby team.
