Could a simple water break help Kids' health? study checks saliva for clues
NCT ID NCT05211843
Summary
This study investigated whether drinking water could quickly change levels of insulin in children's saliva. Researchers wanted to see if saliva insulin could be a simple, non-invasive way to measure risk factors for obesity, diabetes, and cavities. They compared the effects of drinking water, apple juice, or having no drink in 105 elementary school-aged children.
