Spit test could replace needles for tracking braces progress
NCT ID NCT07303647
Summary
This study aims to see if saliva can be used to track bone changes in people getting braces, which could help dentists monitor treatment without invasive tests. Researchers will measure specific genes in the saliva of 24 young adults with braces at different time points. The goal is to understand the body's response to tooth movement and explore a simpler way to check on treatment progress.
