Simple saline shots may keep tendons moving after surgery
NCT ID NCT07184658
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tested whether giving repeated saltwater (saline) injections around the tendon after surgery can prevent scar tissue from sticking to it, a common problem called tendon adhesion. 136 people who had finger tendon repair received either three ultrasound-guided injections or no injection. The goal was to see if the injections improve hand movement and reduce pain without causing harm.
