Sea plant pill tested to protect memory after stroke

NCT ID NCT07353424

Summary

This study is testing whether a dietary supplement made from a salty coastal plant (Salicornia) can help slow down memory and thinking problems in people who have had a small stroke. Researchers will enroll 300 patients who had a stroke confirmed by MRI within the last year. Half will take the supplement daily for six months, while the other half receives standard care, to see if it improves cognitive test scores, walking ability, and blood markers.
