Summary

This study tested a new medicine called SAGE-547 in 138 women with severe postpartum depression. The medicine was given as a 60-hour IV drip to see if it could quickly reduce depression symptoms compared to a placebo. The goal was to help new mothers feel better within days, not weeks.
