Could a spice ease the change? saffron tested for menopause relief
NCT ID NCT06227858
Summary
This study is testing whether taking a saffron extract supplement can help reduce symptoms like mood swings, poor sleep, and hot flashes in healthy women going through perimenopause. About 104 participants will take either the saffron pill or a placebo (a dummy pill) twice a day for three months. Researchers will measure changes in symptom severity, sleep quality, mood, and quality of life to see if the supplement helps.
