First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tested whether a prefilled syringe makes it safer and easier to give pegcetacoplan injections for geographic atrophy, a form of advanced age-related macular degeneration that causes vision loss. Forty-four adults aged 60 and older received the injection in one eye. The main goal was to check for side effects and see how well the syringe worked for doctors.
