New app aims to safely automate insulin dosing for type 1 diabetes

Summary

This study tests whether a computer program called MODI can safely help adults with type 1 diabetes adjust their insulin doses. About 36 people who use daily insulin injections and a continuous glucose monitor will try the algorithm for 13 weeks. The main goal is to see if the program keeps blood sugar from dropping too low.
