Higher radiation dose for spinal tumors shows promise in safety trial

Summary

This study is testing whether a higher dose of radiation can be safely given to cancer patients whose tumors press on the spinal cord. The approach, called CDE-SSRS, aims to better control the tumor while protecting the spinal cord. About 60 adults with spinal metastases will be enrolled to monitor side effects and safety.
