Summary
This study tested whether a web-based safety planning app called myPlanKenya could help women in Nairobi, Kenya, who are at risk of violence from their partners. The app was shared through community networks, and 440 women who disclosed experiencing violence were referred to use it. Researchers measured if using the app helped women feel more confident in making safety decisions, increased their resilience, and improved their safety and help-seeking behaviors.
