First seen Jan 20, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looks at the best timing for removing a small plastic tube (stent) placed in the pancreas to prevent inflammation after an ERCP procedure. About 358 adults who need this stent will be randomly assigned to have it removed early or left in longer. Researchers will track complications like the stent moving out of place or problems during removal, aiming to find the safest approach.
