NCT ID NCT07524608

First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study will test whether a specially designed care plan can improve the quality of IV line care and reduce problems like phlebitis (vein swelling) and infiltration (fluid leaking into tissue). Over three years, researchers will compare an intervention hospital using the new plan to a control hospital using standard care. The study involves 700 nurses and anesthesiologists and aims to see if the plan improves staff knowledge and patient outcomes.
