Study tests faster, safer way to deliver back pain injections
NCT ID NCT05944861
Summary
This study tested if using two imaging methods together (ultrasound and fluoroscopy) to guide pain-relief injections into the sacroiliac joint was faster and exposed patients to less radiation than using fluoroscopy alone. It involved 38 adults with chronic low back or hip pain that hadn't improved with standard treatments like exercise or medication. Researchers measured how long the procedure took, the amount of radiation used, and whether the injections helped reduce pain and disability.
