First seen Jan 27, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at two methods doctors use to place a breathing tube during surgery: a newer video-guided mask and the traditional direct laryngoscope. Researchers measured changes in blood pressure and heart rate, and how often the tube was placed correctly on the first try. 204 adults having planned surgery took part to see which method might be smoother and safer.
