NCT ID NCT06536166
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 35 times
Summary
This study tests whether ruxolitinib, a drug that blocks a specific immune signal (interferon-γ), can help people with inclusion body myositis, a rare muscle disease that causes progressive weakness. About 80 adults aged 45 and older will receive either the drug or a placebo. The main goal is to see if treated patients can walk farther in 6 minutes than those on placebo, while also checking for side effects.
