Sound of running water may ease anxiety during uncomfortable bladder exams

NCT ID NCT07451548

Summary

This study is testing whether listening to recorded running water sounds during a bladder function test helps patients feel calmer and urinate more easily. Researchers will compare two groups of 240 women undergoing the test—one group hears the water sounds, while the other does not. The goal is to see if this simple sound intervention improves the test experience and results by reducing anxiety.
