First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding a gentle brain stimulation technique (rTMS) to standard swallowing exercises can help people who have trouble swallowing after a breathing tube is removed. About 60 adults will be randomly assigned to get either swallowing training alone or swallowing training plus rTMS. The goal is to see if the combination improves eating ability and reduces complications like pneumonia.
