Brain zaps for better movement? new trial tests rTMS for FND

NCT ID NCT07527403

First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called theta burst rTMS can improve symptoms in adults with motor functional neurological disorder (FND), a condition causing movement problems not due to brain damage. Twenty-two participants will receive the treatment, and researchers will measure how much patients feel their symptoms have changed. The goal is to see if this safe, well-tolerated approach can ease symptoms and improve quality of life.
