Bogotá launches Real-World test of dual RSV shield for infants

NCT ID NCT07279298

Summary

This study aims to see how well two different immunization strategies work in the real world to protect babies under 6 months old from severe RSV lung infections requiring hospitalization in Bogotá, Colombia. It will compare babies whose mothers got an RSV vaccine during pregnancy to babies who got a protective antibody shot after birth. Researchers will track infants hospitalized for severe breathing problems to see if these immunizations lower their risk of RSV-related ICU stays and death.
