New shot tested to shield babies from dangerous RSV

Summary
This study tested whether an injection called TNM001 could safely prevent serious lower respiratory tract infections caused by RSV in infants under one year old. Over 2,200 babies, including some born prematurely or with certain heart or lung conditions, received either the injection or a placebo. Researchers followed the infants for about 8 months to see if the shot reduced RSV infections and hospital visits.
