First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study compares two methods to prevent RSV, a common and serious cause of bronchiolitis in infants. One method is a vaccine given to pregnant women, which passes protection to the baby. The other is a direct antibody shot given to newborns. The study will track how many babies need emergency care for bronchiolitis, enrolling 1050 full-term newborns.
