First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looks at whether giving a vaccine to pregnant women or an antibody shot to newborns can prevent severe RSV lung infections in babies under 6 months old. About 1,100 infants hospitalized with serious breathing problems in Bogotá will be tested for RSV. Researchers will compare infection rates between those whose mothers got the vaccine and those whose babies got the antibody shot to see how well these methods work in real life.
