New RSV prevention program shows promise in reducing child hospitalizations

NCT ID NCT07164430

Summary

This study looked at how new RSV prevention medicines given to infants and pregnant mothers affected hospital visits for RSV in children under 2 years old. Researchers used existing health records from 2022-2025 to compare hospitalization rates before and after the prevention program started. The goal was to see if these new prevention options actually reduced serious RSV illness in young children.
