NCT ID NCT07401017

First seen Feb 13, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at how the cholesterol-lowering drug rosuvastatin affects fitness and muscle symptoms in people who run long distances at least three times a week. About 40 adults who need statin therapy will either take rosuvastatin daily or no statin for three months while keeping their normal training. Researchers will measure changes in oxygen use, muscle enzymes, and any muscle pain or stiffness to see if the drug impacts endurance or safety.
