First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tested an experimental drug called ropidoxuridine, taken as a pill, to see if it could make radiation therapy more effective for people with a fast-growing brain cancer called glioblastoma. The trial included 30 adults with a specific genetic type of this cancer that is harder to treat. The study was stopped early, so the results are limited, but the information gathered may help researchers design better treatments in the future.
