Do eye treatments help premature babies see better? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07427719

Summary

This study aims to understand how different treatments for retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) affect children's vision and eye development over time. Researchers will compare 140 children in Norway who were either treated with laser or injection therapy for ROP, or who had ROP but weren't treated. The study will measure visual abilities and examine the structure of the retina to see if treatments make a difference in long-term vision outcomes.
