Can a better measurement tool make your root canal less painful?

NCT ID NCT07271797

Summary

This study aimed to find out if the method used to measure the length of a tooth's root canal affects how much pain a patient feels after a root canal treatment. It involved 125 adults with a specific, non-painful tooth condition. Patients were randomly assigned to have their root canal length measured using one of four electronic devices or a traditional dental X-ray, and their pain levels were tracked for two days after the procedure.
