Dentists test a simple tool trick to ease root canal pain

NCT ID NCT07239752

Summary

This study aims to see if a specific technique used during a root canal can reduce pain afterwards. It will involve 48 adults getting a root canal on a back molar with a dead nerve and infection. Half will receive the technique, where a tiny file is gently moved just past the root tip during cleaning, and the other half will not. All patients will track their pain levels for three days to compare results.
