Dentists test simple tool trick to ease root canal pain
NCT ID NCT07233590
Summary
This study tested whether a specific technique during root canal treatment affects pain afterward. Researchers compared two methods on 72 patients with healthy, single-rooted teeth needing root canals. One group had a small file gently extended just beyond the tooth's tip during cleaning, while the other did not, to see which caused less pain in the 48 hours after the procedure.
