Dental study tests which root canal paste eases pain faster

NCT ID NCT07332936

Summary

This study tested which of two common dental pastes placed inside a tooth after an emergency root canal works better to reduce pain in the first two days. Researchers compared calcium hydroxide paste against a combination paste containing an antibiotic and a steroid (Tobradex) in 43 adults with severe tooth pain. Patients rated their pain levels before treatment and again 24 and 48 hours later to see which paste provided more relief.
