New tooth infection fighters: can pectin beat superbugs in root canals?

Summary
This study tests two experimental medicines placed inside infected root canals to see if they can kill bacteria better than standard treatments. About 63 adults with a dead tooth and a gum abscess will receive either calcium silicate or pectin as a temporary filling. The goal is to find a way to reduce antibiotic resistance and improve healing of the infection.
