First seen Feb 23, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study compares two experimental medications—calcium silicate and pectin—placed inside infected root canals to see how well they kill bacteria. About 63 adults with a dead front tooth and an abscess at the root tip will receive one of these treatments after standard cleaning. The goal is to find a better way to disinfect the tooth and reduce the need for antibiotics.
