Heart's pumping power may hold key to faster anesthesia paralysis

NCT ID NCT07168252

Summary

This study aims to understand why a common muscle relaxant drug used during anesthesia works faster in some patients than others. Researchers will measure how quickly patients' hearts pump blood after receiving the drug rocuronium, then track how long it takes for muscles to become fully relaxed. The goal is to create a mathematical model that could help doctors predict and optimize paralysis timing for safer breathing tube placement.
