Robotic surgery through armpit aims to reduce neck scars

NCT ID NCT06693258

Summary

This study compares two surgical methods for thyroid removal: traditional open neck surgery versus a newer robotic approach performed through the armpit. Researchers aim to see which technique causes less pain, creates better-looking scars, and improves quality of life after surgery. The study will enroll 100 adults needing thyroid surgery and track their recovery for 30 days.
