Scarless robotic surgery trial aims to improve life after thyroid cancer
NCT ID NCT06623578
Summary
This study compares two surgical approaches for thyroid cancer that has spread to neck lymph nodes. It tests whether a newer robotic technique performed through a single armpit incision provides similar cancer control and better quality of life than traditional open neck surgery, which leaves a visible scar. Researchers will follow 876 patients to see which method leads to better long-term survival, fewer cancer recurrences, and improved daily function and appearance.
