NCT ID NCT05839587
First seen May 15, 2026 ยท Last updated May 15, 2026
Summary
This study looked at two types of minimally invasive surgery for fixing an inguinal hernia (a bulge in the groin area). The goal was to see if using a robotic arm causes less stress on the body and leads to a better recovery compared to standard laparoscopic surgery. 150 adults with different types of inguinal hernias took part. Researchers measured things like blood loss, hospital stay, and a stress marker called CRP to compare the two approaches.
